Whether they shot birdies or bogies, golfers at a recent tournament in Princeton, N.J., earned a winning result for City of Hope, raising about $200,000 to support women’s cancer research. The fourth annual City of Hope and Thomson Reuters Women’s “Golf for a Cure” event was held in September 2008 at the Tournament Players Club at Jasna Polana. This year’s recordbreaking event raised total contributions to more than $500,000 since the event began in 2004.

“I share a deep passion for cancer research, education and treatment at City of Hope,” said Debra Walton, global head of market development at Thomson Reuters. “It is my personal goal to raise awareness and help support this cause, in the hope that some day a cure will be found and that precious lives will be saved around the world.”
