Clean up for a good cause

Breast Cancer Awareness Month may be over, but women face the disease year round. Skin-care company Lather understands that, so it is continuing its support for City of Hope and its breast cancer research.

Pasadena, Calif.-based Lather created a sandalwood rose soap collection benefiting City of Hope earlier this year, and the Soap for Hope program will continue through next fall.

Since its initial launch, the program has received attention through national publications and Web sites including People and Health magazines and Real Simple Online.

The all-natural soap is sold singly or as part of a Soap for Hope gift set (two bars and a soap dish). Lather will donate to City of Hope $5 from the sale of each $8 bar of soap, and $12 from each $20 gift set sold, through September 2010.

Sandalwood rose soap and the Soap for Hope gift set may be purchased online at www.lather.com or Lather locations in Pasadena, San Jose, Calif., Scottsdale, Ariz., and New York City.
