Dr. Vora is Professor of Radiation Oncology at City of Hope and joined the City of Hope faculty in 1979. She completed her residency training at Ohio State University (Arthur James Cancer Center) followed by specialty training at the prestigious Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This was followed by fellowship training at Los Angeles County/USC. She is a board-certified radiation oncologist.

Nationally recognized for her expertise in brachytherapy, Dr. Vora directs the Interstitial Brachytherapy Program for head and neck and gynecological cancers. Working closely with the urologist, over the years she has helped to develop the City of Hope Prostate Seed Program for localized prostate cancer.

Her clinical interests include breast cancer, gynecological cancer, head and neck cancer, hematologic malignancies, brachytherapy, 3-D conformal radiotherapy, IMRT radiotherapy, image-guided radiation therapy, and TomoTherapy. Her other interests are total body radiation treatment with bone marrow transplant, and stereotactic radiosurgery for brain and spine tumors.

She is active in clinical research efforts, having been Co-Investigator on a number of grants. Dr. Vora has authored over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and delivered dozens of abstracts and presentations.

She serves on numerous committees at City of Hope, as well as national committees.
