Dr. K.K. Wong and his staff are working toward rAAV vector improvement. One of the lab’s goals is to develop strategies to exploit the ability of AAV to integrate site-specifically into the human genome to increase the safety and efficacy of gene transfer.

In addition, the lab develops tumor-specific vaccines using rAAV vectors and rAAV vectors to protect cells from targeted pathogenic viruses.
