 Retirement Plan

Retirement accounts such as an IRA or 401(k) can be donated to City of Hope estate tax-free, guaranteeing that 100 percent of the proceeds you have saved go to City of Hope.

Typically, loved ones who receive retirement plans through wills or trusts must pay a significant amount of deferred taxes – a tax-bite that can significantly reduce the amount that passes to heirs. However, retirement plans left directly to City of Hope are entirely free of taxes and make your estate eligible for a charitable deduction.

City of Hope’s planned giving officers welcome your inquiries at plannedgiving@coh.org or 800-232-3314.
