The two mile walk, led by Grand Marshal Jayson Friedman of Carls Furniture, raised more than $48,000 for City of Hope, a leading research and treatment institution for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The route started and finished at the High Point Market Transportation Terminal and followed a scenic route through downtown.
“I am thrilled with the outstanding turnout we had at Saturday’s Hike for Hope,” said Friedman. “It is great to see so many members of the home furnishings industry partner with the residents of High Point to support the groundbreaking research programs at City of Hope, which benefit patients everywhere.”
The National Home Furnishings Industry chapter was created by a group of industry leaders who wanted to help in the search for a cure for cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, and currently encompasses representatives from all facets of the industry including retail, manufacturing and publishing.
