First Floor — Academic Center
The first floor of the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center houses the Cabilly-Riggs Academic Center, home of City of Hope’s Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences. This center features an engaging and functional environment for academic endeavors.

Second Floor — Beckman Research Institute Labs and Administrative Offices
The second floor houses Beckman Research Institute administration and includes office and laboratory space for Richard Jove, Ph.D., director of the institute. Dr. Jove, along with his team of researchers, conduct basic science investigations that seek to understand the very nature of cancer — the underlying genetic, molecular and biological bases of the disease. They are developing highly targeted therapies that attack cancer at the molecular level. 

Third Floor — National Office Products Industry Cellular Tumor & Immunotherapies Center
The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center’s third floor is devoted to labs for new cellular immunotherapies targeting a wide range of cancers including leukemia, lymphoma and brain, breast, colon, lung, ovarian and prostate cancers. These labs represent significant expansion opportunities for this highly promising area of research. 

Fourth Floor — The Harvey L. Miller Family Foundation Translational Technologies Center
Scientists on this floor manufacture cellular therapeutics under Food and Drug Administration guidelines for pilot-scale trials of reprogrammed T-cells in patients. Reprogrammed T-cells may offer significant hope for patients with brain cancer, leukemia, lymphoma and other cancers.

Through correlative studies, researchers will closely analyze the effects of these therapies and apply that knowledge immediately toward further enhancements. The Miller Family Translational Technologies Center features a Process Development Laboratory that rivals those of major biotechnology companies, and in it our researchers will invent processes to manufacture high-quality therapies in large quantities. The center also features "discovery" labs for new explorations into immunotherapeutic approaches to cancer.  

Fifth Floor — Radioimmunotherapy; Molecular Immunotherapy; Radiopharmacy
The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center’s fifth floor focuses on research in radioimmunotherapy, antibody development and new “designer” proteins, as well as cellular-based and imaging-based research. The floor includes a Good Manufacturing Practice-compliant radiopharmacy for producing tailored radiolabeled antibodies in clinical-grade quantities for use in patients.
