diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other serious diseases. Our 2008 annual report highlights the many connections that extend City of Hope into the community and throughout the world. New research discoveries connect our scientists and physicians to one another and to investigators across the nation — and globe —to test promising therapies through clinical trials. A culture of compassion spurs the deep connections that tie nurses, therapists and other health professionals to patients and their families.
