Vice President of Finance and Administration, Development and External Affairs

Dave CarterDave Carter is vice president of finance and administration for Development and External Affairs at City of Hope. He is responsible for the financial operations and administration of development, communications, and government and community relations.

Carter has more than 20 years experience in financial administration and planning. Most recently, he was vice president for finance, treasurer and chief financial officer for the United Nations Foundation and Better World Fund, both founded by media entrepreneur Ted Turner. He also previously served as associate executive director in external affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Before UCLA, Carter served as a senior manager at Deloitte, Grant Thornton and KPMG.

Carter is a certified public accountant and holds an undergraduate degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
