 Elizabeth Dunne

Executive Officer, Medical Center

As executive officer of City of Hope’s medical center, Elizabeth Dunne provides operational oversight and works to ensure excellence in patient safety and quality efforts. She also fosters education and training of medical center staff and collaborates on institutional strategies and governance.

Dunne was formerly senior vice president and chief operating officer of Anaheim Memorial Medical Center, where she was the key leader responsible for the operational vision, strategic planning and execution of a number of quality and customer services initiatives. As a result, in 2005 and in 2006, Anaheim Memorial received the Total Benchmark Solution Top 100 Quality Award for Heart Attack Care, Heart Failure Care and Pneumonia Care, making it the only Southern California facility recognized two consecutive years. Dunne also led the creation of a limited liability company with top ambulatory surgeons, oversaw the implementation of a documentation improvement program and developed a state-of-the-art breast cancer center.

Dunne received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College in New York and her master’s degree in computer resource management from Webster University in St. Louis. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Hospital Council of Southern California and graduated from the Memorial Care Leadership Academy.
