 Sandra Bolton, R.N., J.D.

Vice President of Professional Services

Sandra Bolton, R.N., J.D., is vice president of professional services, working closely with the executive leadership, clinical department chairs and faculty to facilitate and develop medical center programs and services that benefit City of Hope and its patients. She also works with the City of Hope Medical Group leadership and administers daily operational functions of the professional management services agreement. Responsible for coordinating physician recruitment with the Medical Group and facilitating the transition of new physicians to the patient-care team, Bolton also plays a vital role in both the graduate medical education and continuing medical education programs.

Prior to joining City of Hope, Bolton established and served as executive director of Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the oral health of children. She raised more than $7.5 million in the first four years of the organization, oversaw construction of a 7,000-square-foot dental facility and collaborated with the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and Children’s Hospital of Orange County to establish the first dental residency program in Orange County.

Previously, Bolton was chief administrator for Perinatal Associates of Southern California, a physicians group based at University of California, Irvine Medical Center and Long Beach Memorial Women’s Hospital, where she gained extensive experience working with physicians and physician groups. She was a director of nursing at Western Medical Center - Santa Ana, and served as a staff attorney for the legal firm of Bonne, Jones, Bridges, Mueller, O’Keefe & Hunt.

Bolton received her associate degree in nursing from Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles and her Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law. She also completed a fellowship in the Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
