Did you know?

People with type 2 diabetes who quickly and intensely control their blood sugar have better health in the decades to come. According to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, aggressively controlling blood sugar levels early on with both medications and proper diet lead to better long-term health than using diet control alone. The researchers also looked at blood pressure in a similar way. They found the diabetes patients under intense blood-pressure control were less likely to have died from diabetes or suffered complications related to the disease.
