Faces of Hope

It takes some amazing and courageous people to fight life-threatening diseases. And City of Hope has created a new way to highlight their stories.

The “Faces of Hope” video series features the researchers and medical staff who save lives, as well as the survivors and supporters who inspire us with their courage and commitment.

Our first Faces of Hope video features patient Nancy Court.

Nancy and her husband, Burt, have been through a lot together in 27 years of marriage — including her battle with breast cancer in 1998. When she faced an aggressive recurrence in 2008, they knew exactly where to go for help: City of Hope. Working with Arti Hurria, M.D., director of the Cancer and Aging Research Program, Court has kept her cancer at bay so she can continue to enjoy the finer things in life — like teaching her granddaughter how to sew.

Watch the Courts' inspiring story below, and read more Faces of Hope stories.
