Did you know?
Sitting too much may shorten your life. The good news — limiting sitting time can add years back on. U.S. adults on average spend more than half their time being inactive. Studies have linked sedentary ways to diabetes as well as increased risk of death from heart disease and stroke. The increased risk is comparable to that from obesity and is almost as much as from smoking. Luckily, the researchers also found that limiting sitting to less than three hours a day could counter the effect and add two years to your life. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control have more information on the health benefits of physical activity.
