Friedman, M.D., on campus on April 25. The check represents an initial donation of proceeds from sales of her new healthy cookbook, “Look Good, Feel Great.” Jones is donating all profits from the book to City of Hope to fund breast cancer research, treatment and education. CBS’ “The Early Show” filmed Jones as she toured the Medical Center. During the visit, she met with Karen Aboody, M.D., assistant professor, divisions of Hematology & Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation and Neurosciences, and Lucille Leong, M.D., acting chair, Division of Medical Oncology & Therapeutics Research, among others. The story about Jones, a longtime advocate for women’s health, ran on the CBS morning program on May 5. (Photo by Chris Lovdahl)
