More than 1,500 racers took to the streets around the Rose Bowl in Pasadena for the inaugural KOST 103.5 and KCAL 9 Yule Log Jog benefiting City of Hope on Nov. 5.

The event was developed by radio station KOST 103.5 FM and television station KCAL 9 as a new facet of their partnership to celebrate the holidays and support the community.

Racers could choose to participate in a 5-kilometer run or walk, a 10-kilometer run or a 1-kilometer run for children.

The Yule Log Jog was sponsored by Clif Bar®, Motorola, Cingular, L.A. Parent magazine, Pasadena Playhouse, Princess Cruises, Expo®, Sharpie and Old Town Escrow. In addition, McCormick & Schmick’s provided $25 restaurant gift certificates to all registrants who participated.
