Music to their ears
Celebrating “A Taste of Hope,” a New York dinner and auction to benefit City of Hope, are (left to right) Britta Bucholz, senior director of development at City of Hope, Steve Bartels, president of Island Records and chief operating officer of Island Def Jam Music Group, Alissa Pollack, senior vice president of music initiatives at Mediabase/Premiere Radio Networks, Charles Goldstuck, Bertelsmann Music Group president and chief executive officer, and Richard Palmese, executive vice president of promotion for RCA Music Group.
Members of the Music & Entertainment Industry chapter enjoyed exclusive wine tasting and dining as well as panoramic views from the Tribeca Rooftop at the inaugural event, held Jan. 31. The benefit resulted in a $175,000 donation to City of Hope for cancer research, treatment and education programs. Mediabase presented the event.
In its three decades, the Music & Entertainment Industry chapter has grown to include major music labels such as Universal Music Group and Warner Bros. The industry has raised more than $50 million to support programs at City of Hope.
