Andres Cartagena and Alexandra Levine, M.D., chief medical officer, take a break from celebrating the culmination of the 2007 Summer High School Program at City of Hope. Cartagena, a nursing student at Citrus College, helped coordinate speakers at the graduation event on Aug. 9.

Levine spoke at the graduation, urging program participants to believe in themselves and pursue their interest in care-related careers. The summer program brought 20 Duarte High School students to the Duarte, Calif., campus to learn directly from City of Hope employees about career possibilities.
