Dozens of City of Hope patients, staff members and graduate students and local music fans gathered on the grass outside Platt Conference Center on Aug. 28 for Music on the Lawn, a free summer festival of food and song. Organized by Hospitality Services, the surfthemed event served as an unofficial goodbye to summer. Hospitality Services funds such events through monies raised from activities such as an annual golf tournament and a percentage of employee ticket sales. (Photo by: Alicia Di Rado)
