Wong takes TomoTherapy experience to Europe

By Alicia Di Rado

Jeffrey Wong, M.D., chair of the Division of Radiation Oncology, soon will take City of Hope’s experience with TomoTherapy abroad. Wong will speak at a radiation oncology session at the prestigious Institut Curie in Paris on Oct. 9.

Wong will discuss total marrow irradiation at the conference, which will draw physicians from throughout Europe. Wong and his colleagues were the first to perform this targeted treatment, using the TomoTherapy Hi-Art System.

The Institut Curie is a private foundation created by Marie Curie that aims to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment and support cancer research.
