In this issue:
A friendly exchange
City of Hope President and Chief Executive Officer Michael A. Friedman, M.D., left, exchanges business cards and a gift with Akiro Terano, M.D., Ph.D., president of Dokkyo Medical University, as Matt Loscalzo, M.S.W, looks on.
Loscalzo, administrative director of the Sheri & Les Biller Patient and Family Resource Center, recently hosted a visit from Terano and nine students from the Japanese medical school. Since first meeting a colleague of Terano’s about 25 years ago, Loscalzo has hosted Dokkyo students annually so the students may learn about the American medical system.
The students also toured the Japanese Garden and other parts of the campus and met Alexandra Levine, M.D., chief medical officer. (Photo by: Paula Myers)
