Tune in for easy listening — and easy donating

City of Hope will sponsor 94.7 “The Wave’s” new online music store for the next three months.

This new KTWV-FM Web channel now includes audio advertising about City of Hope, banner ads and a link to City of Hope’s Web site, as well as access to listeners through e-mail. The main message tells listeners about the leading cancer research performed at City of Hope and how researchers helped create four breakthrough cancer drugs that are saving lives worldwide.

Listeners are encouraged to make a taxdeductible $25 donation to City of Hope. In return, they can download 10 free songs.

About 70,000 people currently visit KTWV’s site each month, and about 15,000 people per month request streaming content. “This is a great, unexplored format, and the audience demographics are a match,” said Brenda Maceo, senior vice president of communications.

The Wave's online store opened on Sept. 24. The store’s Web site is www.947wave.com.
