City of Hope’s Riders for Hope, a club for cycling enthusiasts, invites fellow employees to show support for physical fitness and alternative commuting by bicycling to work on May 13.

The Tuesday event, called “Bike to Work Day,” is one of many such events held across the nation during May, which is National Bike Month. Organizers also hope to highlight “Hospital Week” through the event.

“Bike to Work Day” participants are asked to enter the Duarte campus through the main (east) entry gate and stop by the security kiosk. The security officer will verify that participants rode a bike to work that day and will provide participants with a specially marked tag to enter a drawing for free prizes and a free $25 gas card.

Participants may take their tag to the Benefits Office by 5 p.m. on May 13 to enter the drawing, and the winner will be notified on Wednesday.
