A pedestrian grabs a pair of boxer shorts from a clothesline on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade, part of a June 11 promotion for City of Hope’s Underwear Affair™ presented by Jockey.

Thousands of pairs of hanging underwear at the event drew passersby to hear more about cancers “below the waist,” such as cervical, colorectal, ovarian, kidney, testicular and bladder cancers. City of Hope’s Underwear Affair™ presented by Jockey, a 10K run/5K walk, will be held in Los Angeles on Aug. 2. To register for the event, visit
