City of Hope representatives recently headed to Sacramento to brief legislators on health issues critical to cancer care in California. City of Hope speakers Richard Jove, PhD., director of Beckman Research Institute, Kimlin Tam Ashing-Giwa, PhD., director of City of Hope’s Center of Community Alliance for Research and Education, and patient Vicki Schwarz, a member of City of Hope’s Speakers Bureau, spoke at the briefing. Assemblymember Anthony Portantino helped set up the event.
