Jabs received the award, which recognizes outstanding philanthropic and business accomplishments, at the 18th Annual West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament at Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club in Orange County, Calif., on June 1.

The event raised more than $400,000 for City of Hope’s research and treatment for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

“I’m honored to receive this prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from City of Hope and to support the institution’s efforts to advance medical knowledge and pursue scientific research so that the people here and everywhere have access to the highest quality medical care,” said Jabs.

Michael Sandler, director of development, spearheads fund-raising efforts with the National Home Furnishings Industry. “Industry support is a hallmark of City of Hope. The groundbreaking research that occurs every day at our institution would not be possible without the support of the National Home Furnishings industry and leaders like Jake,” said Sandler.

In its 18-year history, the West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament and dinner have raised more than $4 million for City of Hope.
