Through the “Capsules for Hope” promotion, which lasts until Dec. 31, consumers are encouraged to save the tops, called capsules, from their favorite Sutter Home wines. For each capsule customers return to Sutter Home, the company will donate $1 to support City of Hope.

In a related promotion, the company recently partnered with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. On Aug. 30, the baseball club invited eight breast cancer survivors treated at City of Hope — and their friends and family — onto the field before a game at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., where they were recognized for their courage in overcoming the disease.

“Partnering with a successful team like the Angels of Anaheim — and a long-standing supporter like Sutter Home — was a great opportunity for us,” said Steven Martin, City of Hope’s associate vice president of marketing. “Celebrating the survivors out there on the field was a reminder of their determination, which is matched by that of our physicians and researchers.”

Sutter Home Winery, a longstanding cause-related marketing partner, also sponsors Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer Nationally Presented by Staples. More information about its efforts is available at www.sutterhomeforhope.com.
