Kane receives award for community commitment

Kathleen Kane, executive vice president of development and external affairs, was recognized recently by state legislators for her leadership and fundraising accomplishments at City of Hope.

Kane was honored during the 10th Annual Women in Business Legislative Update and Awards Luncheon at the Pasadena Hilton on Oct. 2. Assemblymember Anthony Portantino presented Kane with the 2009 Outstanding Corporate Women award for her significant professional achievements and commitment to the local community.

The 10th annual Women in Business awards luncheon was hosted by Portantino and fellow Assemblymember Paul Krekorian, as well as State Senator Carol Lui. The event celebrates the achievements of women who contribute to the economic growth and development in their California districts.
