Artists from the LA Opera and a member of the City of Hope Singers entertain patients in City of Hope Helford Clinical Research Hospital.

The recent visit included a performance in Cooper Auditorium, where singers voiced carols and classics from the American Songbook to more than 275 patients and their family members, faculty and staff, students and others.

The December 2008 concert was the inaugural performance in City of Hope’s new quarterly opera concert series, underwritten by Scott Lord, LA Opera board member and City of Hope supporter. The next concert, themed “Spring is in the Air,” is scheduled for March 20. (Photo by p.cunningham)
