Several eager, young City of Hope patients made a VIP trip to Los Angeles to meet pop star Kevin Jonas at a special taping of NBC’s “Minute to Win It” in April. The episode premieres this week.

The pediatric patients met with Jonas before the show and sat up close in the audience to cheer him on as he played for a chance to win $1 million on the popular game show.

Wracked with nerves, the 22-year-old musician tackled games such as “Nervous Nelly” and “Egg Roll.” The pop star even gave a signed pizza box from one of the games to one of City of Hope’s patients in the audience.

Jonas will donate all his prize money to the Jonas Brothers’ foundation, Change for the Children, of which City of Hope is a beneficiary.

To find out how much Jonas wins, tune in to the episode premiere on May 12 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
