City of Hope recently received three Awards of Excellence from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
The AAMC granted Awards of Excellence for City of Hope’s use of social media, the City of Hope Video Library (available on www.cityofhope.org/videos) and its “Canswer” advertising. Social media efforts include presence on Facebook and Twitter.
The Award of Excellence is the AAMC’s top award; only one is awarded in each category. The AAMC represents 148 medical schools, 400 major teaching hospitals and health systems and more than 90 academic and scientific societies.
City of Hope also received Silver Awards for its video library and social media from Healthcare Advertising Awards. Healthcare Advertising Awards is one of the oldest, largest and most widely respected health-care advertising awards, and more than 4,000 entries were submitted for this year’s competition.
In addition, City of Hope received a Gold Award for multimedia advertising for its Canswer ads from the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Association. The association’s Golden Advocate Awards set the standard for communications excellence among Southern California health-care professionals.
