Patient and Family Education’s Ben Laroya, R.N., M.S.N., C.N.S., and Becky Andrews learn about the Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center’s green technology while attending Earth Day festivities at City of Hope.

Held on April 22, Earth Day raises awareness about the environment. At City of Hope, vendors and internal groups including the Occupational Safety & Health, Facilities Management and Engineering departments, Sodexho and Waste Management Healthcare Solutions held a small fair outside the cafeteria. Booths showcased City of Hope’s environmentally friendly features, as well as how employees can reduce waste and save energy. (Photo by p.cunningham)
