Singh is an expert in the management of cancers of the liver, gall bladder, bile ducts and pancreas. In addition to the classic open surgery approach, he also brings expertise in minimally invasive techniques, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic-assisted methods, to treat liver and pancreatic diseases. His reputation as a skilled surgeon has earned him distinction, including selection by Consumers’ Research Council of America as one of “America’s Top Surgeons,” as well as inclusion as one of “America’s Best Doctors.”

“We are fortunate to have a surgeon of Dr. Singh’s stature on our faculty,” said Alexandra M. Levine, M.D., M.A.C.P., chief medical officer. “He is a nationally recognized authority in hepatobiliary cancer whose skills and expertise will help lead one of the most accomplished and fastest-growing liver and pancreas programs in the area — a program committed to providing the very best cancer care for patients in a warm and caring environment.”

Singh’s clinical publications include results of complex resections for metastatic liver cancers and vascular reconstructions following difficult pancreatic cancer surgery. He currently is applying his interest in translational research to pursue multidisciplinary leading-edge protocols for liver and pancreatic cancers and technical innovations in hepatic and pancreatic surgery, among other areas.

He most recently worked at the John Wayne Cancer Institute at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif., as director of the Liver and Pancreas Center. A member of many elite surgical societies, Singh has served as an invited speaker and chair at several international conferences and has published in numerous prestigious journals.
