Nearly 400 beauty industry executives and artists recently united to support City of Hope at the 2010 National Professional Salon Industry Spirit of Life® dinner. The “Preserve Beauty — Inspire Hope” event, held July 19 in Las Vegas, honored Eva Graham, founder of NIOXIN Research laboratories, and raised nearly $1 million for cancer research, treatment and education.

“I’m honored to work with an organization that’s committed to improving the lives of cancer patients,” said Graham. I believe that together we can find a cure for cancer by continuing our support for the lifesaving treatment programs at City of Hope.”

Graham received The Spirit of Life Award at the event and announced an additional $100,000 gift to City of Hope from The Graham Family Foundation to support pediatric cancer survivorship programs.

Guests included representatives from P&G Salon Professionals, L’Oreal, OPI, Joico, Regis Corp., Creative Nail and other beauty industry leaders.

“I was pleased to emcee The Spirit of Life gala and to support Eva’s commitment to finding a cure for cancer,” said Steve Sleeper, executive director of the Professional Beauty Association. “Her vitality, kindness and passion for helping others are evident throughout her philanthropic work for City of Hope’s advanced medical research and treatments.”
