Walk for Hope participants gather to start their recent walk in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Nearly 1,000 people braved the rain and joined forces to raise $105,000 at the Philadelphia Walk for Hope on Sept. 12. Participants crossed the Benjamin Franklin Bridge from Camden, N.J., into Philadelphia. The event was hosted by Joey Fortman of local station MY PHL 17’s “Better Philly TV” and featured live music and entertainment, survivor speakers, sponsor giveaways and a survivors’ pavilion.
