Debbie Baker rides atop a 1902 fire truck to mark the official start of the 11th annual Cruisin’ for a Cure event, a hot-rod show benefiting prostate cancer research treatment and education programs at City of Hope. Blaze, a Dalmatian belonging to the fire truck’s owners, sits beside Baker, who founded the fundraising event.

About 3,000 cars were featured at the Sept. 25 event in Costa Mesa, Calif. Nearly 1,400 men received free prostate screenings at this year’s event, one of the largest single-day charity car shows in the country.
