City of Hope doctors debunk cancer myths

By Vicky Hoffman

CBS Channel 2 Los Angeles is running a colon cancer awareness effort featuring City of Hope physicians.

KCBS health correspondent Lisa Sigell interviewed Alexandra Levine, M.D., M.A.C.P., and Julio Garcia-Aguilar, M.D., for the 90-second spots. The physicians discuss common cancer myths while also including an educational message about colon cancer. These interviews can be seen on CBS News with Katie Couric at 6:57 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays during March.

The spots are part of CBS Healthwatch, targeted medical informational advertisements that have run on CBS affiliates for 12 years.
