Throughout this year, City of Hope will continue to be featured on the Sky Radio Network, which began airing information about the institution in 2009. The content is sponsored by longstanding City of Hope supporter Hilton Worldwide. In upcoming segments, administrators, physicians and researchers will speak about breakthroughs in City of Hope’s clinical trials, recent grant funding, noteworthy accreditations and other significant accomplishments.

“We are thrilled to bring the knowledge of City of Hope experts to travelers each month,” said Ron Cassel of Sky Radio. “Not only does the programming provide listeners with important and potentially lifesaving information, but the partnership allows Sky Radio to ‘give back’ by producing and airing the segments on behalf of City of Hope.”

Sky Radio Network provides business, technology, health and entertainment programming to some of the largest airlines in the world. In 2009, Sky featured City of Hope researchers and physicians speaking on a variety of health-related topics. Travelers on American Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Delta, US Air and, most recently, Virgin America listened to expert commentary covering subjects from the links between cancer and genetics to disease-specific themes including diabetes.

Each City of Hope interview airs on nearly 35,000 flights each month, reaching more than 3 million listeners. The interviews also are featured on the network’s Web site, www.skyradionet.com, which receives more than 3.5 million unique visitors each month.
