Feedback sought on redesigned intranet

Employees can critique the effectiveness of City of Hope’s relaunched intranet and guide its future enhancements through an online survey this month.

The new site for City of Hope staff debuted on Oct. 31, 2009, after nearly a year of employee input, user testing and technology development. Among the site’s new tools are customized links that direct users to the most relevant Web content and a content management system that allows employees to update pages on their own.

“We appreciate everyone’s valuable input thus far and their willingness to take ownership of the information on the site,” said Frank Simmons, senior director of Web marketing. “Now it’s time for all of us to step back and see where we are.”

Along with revealing the intranet’s current strengths and weaknesses, the survey is intended to hold open the door between Web marketing and the City of Hope community it serves, Simmons said.

The brief survey is available Jan. 18 through 29 from the intranet home page: www.coh.org. Responses are anonymous and confidential. Survey results (aggregated data) will be shared with staff on the Web marketing site in the coming months.

Anyone with questions about the survey may contact the Web marketing team by e-mail at webmarketing@coh.org.
