Warren Chow, M.D., associate professor of both medical oncology and molecular pharmacology, left, indulged in a variety of breakfast choices in celebration of National Doctor’s Day on March 30.

The employee hospitality committee organized the breakfast to honor City of Hope physicians. More than 80 physicians attended the event and treated themselves to a hearty morning feast, which included a buffet, made-to-order crepes and pastries. They also each received a traveler’s comfort pack that included an eye mask, ear plugs, inflatable neck pillow and miniature alarm clock.

The tradition of honoring physicians near the end of March dates back to 1933, and Congress and President George H.W. Bush officially established March 30 as National Doctor’s Day in 1990. (Photo by Thomas Brown)
