Dan Ryan, Midwest market director of Jones Lang LaSalle, was honored for his commitment to fund cancer research as well as his professional and business achievements. For Ryan the battle to find a cure for cancer was very personal.

“As someone who knows firsthand about the impact cancer has on patients and their families, I am personally committed to helping everyone who has been affected by this devastating disease,” Ryan said at the November 2010 event, held in Chicago.

Created in 1992 by a group of commercial, construction and real estate professionals who wanted to help fund the search for a cure for cancer, the Chicago Construction and Real Estate Council has grown to include representatives from all levels of the industry including development, finance, architecture, law and brokerage services. Since inception, the group has raised millions of dollars to support City of Hope research.
