Celebrate survivorship at Biller Resource Center with prizes and fun on June 2

By Susan Wyninegar

City of Hope will mark National Cancer Survivors Day with a celebration on June 2.

Event organizers will transform the Sheri & Les Biller Patient and Family Resource Center into “Hope County Fair.” Survivors and their families and caregivers are invited to enjoy refreshments, entertainment, raffles, prizes and blessings by City of Hope’s chaplains. City of Hope cancer survivors will receive T-shirts and medallions. Alexandra Levine, M.D., M.A.C.P., chief medical officer, will give a presentation at noon.

The event recognizes cancer patients at all stages of life, whether they were just diagnosed or are many years out from their treatment. A cancer survivor is anyone living with a history of cancer.

Hope County Fair takes place on June 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Biller Patient and Family Resource Center, which is located near the front entrance of the Main Medical Building. For more information, call 626-256-4673, ext. 32273.
