An international group of scientists will gather in Argyros Auditorium at City of Hope to share their knowledge, exchange ideas and uncover new avenues of exploration toward cures for cancer and diabetes Aug. 4 and 5.

Scientists from Beckman Research Institute and other Southern California research centers and their colleagues from several Japanese research institutions will discuss their findings linking imflammation, diabetes and cancer.

The meeting, cosponsored by City of Hope and the Consulate General of Japan, Los Angeles, is the latest in a series of meetings that aim to foster collaborations between City of Hope scientists and their counterparts worldwide.
