From right, physicists Harry Cheng, M.S., and Frankie Cheung, M.S., of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Hong Kong, discuss the advantages of the TomoTherapy Hi-Art System with City of Hope’s An Liu, Ph.D., assistant research scientist in the Division of Radiation Physics, and Jeffrey Wong, M.D., chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology.

The two physicists visited City of Hope in mid-August to learn about how City of Hope uses TomoTherapy to administer radiation therapy. Queen Elizabeth Hospital recently acquired its first TomoTherapy unit, and Wong and Liu will travel to the medical center — the largest hospital in Hong Kong — in September to give Hong Kong cancer specialists an overview of its uses in total marrow irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery and other applications.
