Pam Kenz, R.N., clinical nurse manager in the operating room, left, introduces City of Hope employees to a surgical suite in the new outpatient surgery center.

About 500 City of Hope employees attended the center’s Sept. 7 open house where surgical faculty and staff treated them to a preview of the new facilities. The center is located on the third floor of the Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center and will significantly increase City of Hope’s capacity for performing outpatient surgical procedures including endoscopies, biopsies, lumpectomies and plastic and reconstructive surgeries. The center opened for patient care Sept. 21. (Photo by Thomas Brown)
