“I’m honored to be recognized by an institution that is committed to quickly bringing cures to patients who need them,” Kelley said. “Our industry is dedicated to supporting City of Hope’s researchers and physicians in their efforts to improve the quality of life for patients.”
In combination with Ironshore, Kevin Kelley and his wife, Mary Ellen Kelley, announced the establishment of the Robert Clements Graduate Student Fellowship at City of Hope’s Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences. The fellowship was created in honor of Ironshore founder Robert Clements, an insurance industry leader.
The NIIC was founded in 1978 by a group of key insurance industry executives and is composed of the most prominent property and casualty companies, law firms, brokers, accounting firms, reinsurers, executive placement firms and actuaries in the insurance industry. Motivated by its commitment to innovative medical research and quality patient care, and inspired by the guiding humanitarian principles of City of Hope, the NIIC has raised more than $19 million through its fundraising efforts.
