Katie Chin, City of Hope culinary ambassador, also will demonstrate cooking with super foods such as mushrooms, pomegranates, blueberries, cinnamon and grapes, which are featured in research by Shiuan Chen, Ph.D., and fellow City of Hope scientists.

“We are excited to kick off our inaugural Taste of Spring event at The Americana at Brand by featuring some of the powerful super foods highlighted in the groundbreaking research done at City of Hope,” said Jenny Bronstein, manager of strategic partnerships and entertainment at Caruso Affiliated, developer of The Americana at Brand. “City of Hope is an important institution and Caruso Affiliated is very proud to support them in their mission to ultimately find cures for cancer.”

The Americana at Brand will donate 10 percent of sales from the tastings at the event to support cancer research, treatment and education programs at City of Hope.
