Raising spirits — and funds

Tony Award-winning actress Jane Krakowski laughs with fellow lunch guests at the annual spring luncheon of the East End Chapter/Jeanne Kaye League in New York City.

Krakowski, philanthropist Ann Levine and Susan Sokol, president and chief operating officer of J. Mendel, were honored with The Spirit of Life® Award at the May event. Sokol is a breast cancer survivor and top executive, while Levine, a former teacher, is a prolific fundraiser, volunteer and vice president of the auxiliary at the New York University Langone Medical Center in New York City.
