HANDS ON HARPS UPCOMING SCHEDULE
City of Hope’s Department Education offers "Hands-on-Harps," an ongoing series of concerts and workshops to bring out the music in everyone. Harp teachers and performers unite to provide a unique musical experience including hands-on interactions. All workshops, concerts and special events are held on the first floor of City of Hope’s Helford Clinical Research Hospital.

PLANNING COMMITTEE FOR NATIONAL CANCER SURVIVORS DAY
Preparations for National Cancer Survivors Day 2007 are underway and a Planning Committee has been formed. The next meeting of the Planning Committee at City of Hope is Tuesday, April 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Conference Room C. The group will meet two additional times on May 15 and May 29 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
The National Cancer Survivors Day event is a national day of celebration to honor the more than 10 million Americans dealing with any cancer diagnosis. Along with 700 other medical centers and health/support organizations, City of Hope will host this inspirational event on Sunday, June 3.

TREASURES OF THE HEART TEA
City of Hope's Treasure's of the Heart Chapter will hold their 10th annual English Tea-Hats for the Heart, in the City of Hope Rose Garden on Saturday, April 21, from noon to 3 p.m.
This year's tea will feature guest speakers, entertainment, vendors and a silent auction. Tickets are $60 each or $600 per table.

31ST CELEBRATION OF LIFE BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION REUNION
Friday, April 27, 2007 will mark the 31st annivaersary of the Bone Marrow Transplantation Program at City of Hope. More than 6,500 survivors of cancer and other life-threatening diseases who have undergone a transplant, along with their family members, friends and caregivers, will gather on campus for a picnic-style reunion called the Celebration of Life. If you are a City of Hope patient who has had a transplant prior to january 1, 2007, you should have already received your invitation. Due to the large attendance there will be no parking for this event on campus; instead, parking will be at nearby Irwindale Speedway.

Desi Geestman Foundation Golf Tournament
You are invited to join in a fundraiser on Monday, May 21, 2007 at Brookside Country Club in pasadena to support the Desi Geestman Foundation. The foundation helps provide assistance with meals, transportation, and housing for families of pediatric patients from City of hope. The golf tournament will include lunch and awards dinner.
