HANDS ON HARPS UPCOMING SCHEDULE

City of Hope’s Department of Patient, Family & Community Education offers "Hands on Harps," an ongoing series of concerts and workshops to bring out the music in everyone. Harp teachers and performers unite to provide a unique musical experience including hands-on interactions. All workshops, concerts and special events are held on the first floor of City of Hope’s Helford Clinical Research Hospital unless otherwise noted. They are free and open to all. The following is a schedule for July, August and September.

Tuesday, July 24, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Shawna Selline - Harp concert and beginners workshop.

Tuesday, Aug. 14, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.                                                                        Chad Watson and Pam Loe - Classic tunes and folk music.

Tuesday, Aug. 28, 6 to 8:30 p.m.
NEW! ‘‘Music on the Lawn’’ - DIFFERENT LOCATION
A special evening of music and entertainment outdoors near the Platt Conference Center. Don’t miss Scott Huckabay, Lisa Lynne and surprise guests galore. Bring your chairs and blankets. Food will be available.

WRITING FOR WELLNESS WORKSHOP

The next session of "Writing for Wellness,’’ which starts in September, is accepting reservations for its fall season.  This informal writing workshop guides participants through basic methods of expressive writing.  No prior writing experience is needed --- only a desire to put pen to paper.

Sessions are free and open to the community.  Workshops are held on Mondays from noon to 1:15 p.m. in City of Hope's Village Theater.  Due to the tremendous popularity of this workshop, please call 626-256-8626 to reserve your seat.
